Default [Answered] New CPU?

eWiz.com Intel Pentium 4 631 3.0GHz 800MHz 2MB LGA775 CPU, Retail

looking for a new cpu. Found the above link. But they don't have any other info even over phone.

I only ask cuz 631 comes in 4 flavors.

SL8WJ
SL94Y (B1)
SL96L (C1)
SL9KG (D0)

But nobody seems to know or sell the D0. Is there any other way to tell which number that is since it doesn't say.

Thanks,
ivnj

I dont know much about steppings on the P4, all i know is that my old one is a N0 stepping model. As long as your motherboard is a Socket LGA775 and supports a 800Mhz FSB, it should work.

it doesnt. I looked, no luck finding any links to that specific stepping. So it could be either the 84 or 65. but its 65nm so im fairly sure its the 65watt model. either way, 19 watts wont make much difference, especially because your running an aftermarket cooler.
