Default [Answered] Microsoft Vs. CPU's

Hello,

I am looking for a cpu to save up for that would be screamin fast and last me for awhile.

I found this cpu:
Newegg.com - AMD Phenom 9500 Agena 2.2GHz Quad-Core 4X 512KB L2 Cache 2MB L3 Cache Socket AM2 95W Processor - Retail

but, will windows xp or Vista support the massiveness of this cpu?

I haven't had the chance to play with a quad core system yet BUT I have heard that Windows (XP and Vista) will not stretch that chip and you won't be getting anything more than a kind of pseudo duo core performance. Blame Microsoft..not AMD
