Should my cpu go from 50C to 44C in a second after minimizing halo demo?Its ok if its real but is it faulty temps?after 30 seconds its 40...hmm Cpu is 4200+

Hey Phenom...Its not unlikely that that happens.. Halo even for a beastly system will bring up temps a little.

But speed fan can somtimes be faulty.. Best way to tell, is play for awhile and reboot your pc go into the BIOS and look under your Hardware monitoring..

I mean speedfan tells me all my fans are going 24,000 rpm,, if that were true my case would lift off lol..
Use a couple programs like everest home and siosoft sandra, if they all come out the same then you know you have a good gauge.. If not picke the highest (for the sake of being high)

What is that chip doing at 40c lol Mine is (right now at 22c) you got a freezer 64? those things are cheap and the best.

Yeah, makers use different sensor-chips for temps-- the guy that writes speedfan tries to keep up-- but it's freeware/donation-supported

Well my motherboard was from last year....Nforce 4m-a 3.0....And no i dont have the freezer 64.Im gonna get it this christmas..And Some A5S.Do you think i could OC it to 2.3 with the freezer?

That 4200+ can overlock to 2.7 stable.. With the freezer 64... Thats where I came from 4200+ to this 6000+
