I have a cpu question as well. For the newer games such as Crysis, does my fx-57 (single core) stand a chance or is it simply outdated? And apart from chart comparisons like on Tom's hardware, does anyone have any experience of just how big of a jump it would be from my cpu to an x2 6000?

Your FX 57 will take on all newer games.. UThe FX series were meant to play games..

But as it stand the 6000+ is 159 bucks now.. Yes very cheap, I can run any game out on full specs with the 6000+ and get great FPS.. But the FX is easily overclockable to say the least.. If you want to stay AMD I would spend the money.. My cpu scores around 22,000 in most benchmarks (real life ones) the FX 57 wold score around 16,000 so it would be a big jump

Heck I forgot In about a week now I will be selling my stuff as I am going Intel.. here is the link
