is amd athlon 3800+ 2ghz enough to play crysis? i know you said that 2.8ghz is the minimum but sometimes game requirements say that an amd athlon processor can play games that dont have the same ghz as the pentium minimum ghz. do you know what i mean?

Well I have an X2 4200 which is 2.2ghz times 2 and it preforms as well as a intel core 2 duo 1.83ghz.So you might want to just get either a core 2 duo for $121.00 from newegg.That should make you set.

The 7900 is not a rubbish card at all.
The Crysis devs claimed that 2gb of ram, a dual core processor and a 7800 will be able to run the game on high settings (DX9 of course).
