so basicly i got a new fan for my motherboard which i installed today, i also opened up my power supply and cleaned out the dust inside. so i start my pc, it logs onto windows, and then in 20 sec for no reason it shuts down on its own. so i turn it on again, only this time it went to the PC options where it shows the fan speed and all that, and it gives me an error message about something that has to do with the
CPU speed. so i press save changes although i didnt make any changes, and then my PC shuts down again without even getting into windows. and now no matter how many times i turn on my PC, the fan works, and all the lights work, but nothing shows up on my monitor. my keyboard doesnt light up as well. so i wait about 2 hours, turn it on again and still nothing shows up on my monitor. im really confused here. i mean i was able to get into windows once after i installed the fan and everything, and now this. its wierd because the PC seems to be working, but its not showing anything. also a couple of days ago i started having this problem sometimes, that when i press shut down, the PC makes that shut down sound, and that light that lights up if you PC is on, is off, but my fan would still work and everything else inside. so i started thinking this cant be right and im guessing it has to do something with my power supply but im really not sure at this point. i know it has nothing to do with my monitor, because i tried it on another PC and it works fine. im running windows XP pro, with 1.5 gigz of
ram, and my
cpu speed is 3.2 ghz. so got any ideas what might be causing this, or maby an idea on how i could fix this problem?
