Default [Answered] Renewing CPU

I currently have an AMD Athalon 64 300+, I'd like to upgrade to an AMD Athalon 64 X2 4200 dual core. Can I just swop it without changing anythingelse ie mother board or whatever and how difficult would it be?

Hi Mike,

It depends if your motherboard currently supports the x2. Do you know what motherboard you currently have?

Default Thought that might be the next question.

I didn't say initialy because I didn't know. However I've since found out. It's a Foxconn 755/760A01 series.
