just a quick question

i'm buying a new PC and want to know which processor is better

the
intel Core 2 Duo E4300 or the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+

It is not the brand it is the chip. Intel core 2 duo have a 4 clock cycle while the AMD up to 6000+ has only a 3 clock cycle. Your intel computer should be a little bit more expensive than the AMD, if not ask questions about the ram, video card, motherboard etc...
