I'd go for intel if only for one reason ... doesn't matter what AMD may say about their new cpu's, they still react badly to heat ... not that intel doesn't have problems with that, but they are still better nonetheless.

AMD vs Intel...

This conversation has been going on since the mid 90's...it's all personal preference
But at the moment...Intel are definately the better buy. Hands down.

Coming in late on this but I have to agree, the Core2 Duo and Quad CPU's are revolutionary..simple as that.

Yeah, ive got the e4400, it works beautifully, better than anything ive ever used, it loads my vista, which is full of junk faster than my old xp on my p4 when it was a fresh install

That's not saying too much I had my old P3 450mhz with 512mb of ram booting up faster then a P4 2.4ghz with 2gb of ram...go figure
