Default AMD listed speed vs.actual speed?

Hello everyone, noob with a question here.

I have a non name brand PC bought at a local PC store about 4 years ago.
It has an AMD Athlon XP2000+ X86 Family 6 Model 86 CPU in it, but it is only clocking 1.666 MHZ. Is this normal? Is it only supposed to run this speed?

Thanks in advance.

That is correct. The AMD Athlon XP 2000+ operates at 1.67 GHz.

Hope this helps,
Adam
