Processor/CPU - [Resolved] error posted in the Hardware forums; i dont know if this belongs here but i was playing this game that i play a lot and i started hearing a clicking noise and my comp got slow ...

Default [Resolved] error

i dont know if this belongs here but i was playing this game that i play a lot and i started hearing a clicking noise and my comp got slow so i restarted and i keep getting an error saying primary master failed so i cant start up my comp

The clicking sound and primary master failure probably means your hard drive is bad or going bad. That would definitely be my first guess. If you have valuable data on that drive, you should avoid turning the computer on.

The first thing you should be doing right now is attempting a backup if the drive isn't completely shot. If you don't know how to pull the drive out to attempt a backup from another machine, you might want to hire someone to attempt a backup.

Once you have a good backup of your data (if you are able), then I would run a hard drive diagnostics tool to see if it happens to pass. But I'm guessing it's not going to. If it is a bad hard drive, be prepared with some type of recovery option if you will be hiring someone to install a new drive for you.

i changed hard drives just to check and sure enough you were right
