Unhappy [Fixed] Rebuilt Computer Probs

I just recently replaced my studio rack computer motherboard to an ASUS P5NSLI and installed a C2D 6300. A SATA 80 Gig is the Sys HD, 2 Seagate 200 EIDE HD's for my recording space and sample storage, ASUS Video card, and a DVD/CD Burner is there as well. This computer is 1 year old.

I use XP Home SP1 as OS. Can't use SP2 because of the 1394 default speed turn down and the Hotfix does not work. Cubase SX3, and Sonar 4 (soon to be sonar 6) and Reason 3 are my recording tools.

I use a EMU 1212 pci card set, a 400/800 PCI Firewire card, (the firewire buses on the msi sucked), and use 2 MOTU Travellers and a 896HD for mixdown into a nice analog desk for the eqing, etc.

Originally there was an MSI P4NSLI with a D840 that worked ok, but I wanted to install the D840 in the family computer unit. This setup worked well but knew I could get faster/better operation with a 6300 C2D.The family Unit is working much faster....no probs.

I have had no luck getting the Studio unit to post. Checked and rechecked everything, disassembled and reassembled 3 times to make sure there was nothing overlooked at least mechanically......... all connections are made. It turns on....no video......one beep every 5 seconds....that is all.

Even tried the D840, the P4 504, and the C2D6300 in the family unit......it shows the CPU's are all good. Both computers are socket 775. The studio computer has same results with all CPU's ...............no video, all fans work, the DVD/CD runs briefly, power led on, 1 beep every 5 seconds. Help!!!!

What BIOS do you have?AsusI am pretty sure uses the AWARD..

And 1 beep repeated is memory failure.. Have you tried reseating the ram??
