Default what socket

Sorry for such a newbie question. I need to get hold of a new fan for my processor but when I am not sure what type of socket it is. Am I using a socket 476? This is what I got from PC


CPU : intel (GenuineIntel)
Identifier: x86 Family 15 Model 3 Stepping 4
ProcessorNameString: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz

Hi Billy,

Welcome to PCHF.

There are a few it could be, 476, 775. It will normally show the socket number on the socket itself, which you can see when you remove the fan. Otherwise, to know for certain, download and run SIW: http://www.gtopala.net/en/siw.exe

Scroll down to Hardware > Motherboard. You will see your CPU Socket there.
