Hi Tom,

It sounds as though you are having similar problems to me. I am currently running an AMD 64 3200, it is also approx 18 months old.....Strange!

I will be most interested to learn if a new CPU does indeed fix your problem...that would be my last option really, I've replaced RAM, GFX and MoBo...although i didnt replace the thermal paste! Eeep! Is that really bad?

Anyway look forward to hearing if this sorts your problem out as it looks as though I'm gonna have to fork out even more money

My welcome to PCHF as well. I was curious, as to what could be different at the shop then at home regarding your GPU? Were you there when they did the tests?

Have you tried a different monitor? (Yes I realize that it's a silly thing, but then so many times they are the answers. LOL).

Just to clarify, after trading out the MOBO, and no more beeps?

I really don't know what was different but the problem is solved! Stuck the new gpu in with the old cpu and it posted. I definitely saw the system at the shop post with my gpu in, and I know i wasn't being stupid, I checked everything so many times!

Ah well, all sorted now, and better graphics

Having a weird issue at the moment, had my old hd partitioned into two, with g drive for media , pics, music etc. I can get into my music folder (i would be VERY angry if i couldn't), but i can't access the folders with all the pics I've taken over the last 18 months, parties, festivals, general jokes times...

It says 'G\:Razz is not accessible. Access is denied.'

The folder size shows as 0 bytes and is apparently read only now. I've tried turning off the read only but it doesn't make a difference. I don't understand why it seems to only be folders with pictures in them that this has happened to?!

Any suggestions?

Hey Rinser,

That's great about your video, wierd, but great.

However, the other problem sounds like it could be a malware infection, can you please run the PreWork in my signature, and post the three logs back here. It would be terrible for you to lose all of your pics.
