Sorry, I was going to put this question in my other topic, but it got marked as answered before this problem occurred. Here's a quick recap of the problem:

Building a new computer, everything is hooked up to the motherboard, but I can't get a signal to my monitor. Checked the RAM, graphics card (nVidia GeForce 7600 GT), and the processor (Intel Core 2 Duo Conroe), all of which appear to be installed correctly. The fans and LEDs turn on, but there's no signal to the monitor. Could one of my components be malfunctioning? The only things it could be (as far as I know) are the three things I mentioned before.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you check in the bios that you don't have the on-board vga connection enabled (if relevant). Also, do you have an extra molex power connection on that card - if so, make sure it's connected.

The motherboard does not come with onboard graphics and the 4 pin connector on the graphics card is plugged in. Still nothing.

I've got the same problem, but with a system that was running fine for ages, no hardware or software changes lately, just went all of a sudden. I'm thinking it's CPU but apparently it could also be your gpu, psu or ram? If possible test them all in another PC...

It almost always happen when u build a pc. Try extracting one ddram module to see what happens, also try resetting cmos by using the jumper on the mainboard, look in ure user s manual to see where the jumper is located. If it doesen t work try replacing the video card. If it works fine with a different video card, try removing the optical drive and a hdd if you have more than one, to see if u re psu supply's enough amount of power

@TB, I know this is simplistic, but sometimes it's the small stuff that stymies us. Have you made sure that your monitor is plugged into the Vid card, and not the MOBO? Also, make sure as Hengis suggested, that you have the Vid card enabled at startup and not the onboard graphics.
