Default help me with lap top

well ok i have a compaq R4000 lap top its got a amd 64 athlon 3200+ processor
512 mb ram 80 g hdd radeon xpress 200m graphics and window xp pro
and yes i did format the hdd so i do not think it is software.
I got this lap top for 28 $ cus it did not post and go in to windows
THIS IS THE PROBLEM the lap top terns on but it will not go in to windows and i cant get in to the bios.when im in windows IT frezzes up and i have to shut it down sumtimes it will not post and i have to take out the processor and put it back in and it will start up all the time for a week or so then it will start doing it agen and i have to take the processer out and so on and so forth
yes i have tryed it all taking out the hdd and the ram and the disck drive its the prosecer i think
taking out the processor and puting it back is the only way to get it to start up
i have talked to a lot of ppl tek suport thay no nuthing lol but you know that
so tell me what you think its the prosecer or the mutherbord well thats what i think. but i dont want to buy a processer if its the mutherborde
