Ok I'm purchasing a amd athlon 64 bit 3500+ socket 939 processor and just need to know what motherboard i could use. Any help is appreciated.

Make sure you pick a mainboard of the right socket, in this case socket 939.

There are probably other specifications that you should look at too, but if you check the internet for some socket 939 boards, and post some links here, we'll be able to help you further.
