Default AMD athlon XP 3200+ I bought on Ebay...

I bought a used AMD athlon XP 3200+ barton CPU on Ebay.

The program "CPU-Z" is showing this...

So, My question is...

Is this a 3200+ or a 2500+ !!!!

I want to make sure before I accuse him of selling me a 2500+ instead of the 3200+ I paid for.

Thanks in Advance

...BTW I forgot to mention you have a nice place here. It's neat and organized.

So what's the verdict? Did I get ripped off or could it be something wrong on my side? i.e. My bios or something?

Thanks,

Keypel-

well it appears that you got the 2500+ instead of the 3200+

but i'm not too sure about the speeds of both of them i have a sempron 3200+ and my speed is 1.8 Ghz but if one of them was more expensive than the other i wouold contant the person who sold it to you

<SIGH> Not what I wanted to hear.

Yeah there is a diff

3200+ runs at 2.2Ghz
2500+ runs at 1.8Ghz

My old 2100+ ran at 1.7Ghz.

So, I guess if it Looks like a 2500+ , smells like a 2500+ then it's probably a 2500+

I'm wondering if he sent me the wrong CPU by mistake? He stated the FSB is 400Mhz

This one runs at 333Mhz and I looked at some 2500+ auctions and they also run at 333Mhz.

Thanks Again

Hi there,

Give him the benefit of the doubt before moving in for the kill Maybe he had this chip overclocked in his PC to 2.2GHz...or did he actually specify that it was a genuine 3200+?
