Default Framey?

Hey, i need some help.
Whenever I play games on my laptop, after about 30 minutes, it will suddenly turn all jerky. Like, the frame rate had turned down a lot. It will stay like this for about a minute, and then turn back normal again.

Has anyone else had this problem?
Does anyone know how to fix it?

Thankyou,
Michi~

Welcome to the site.

It sounds to me like you have something else running in the background when you are playing. I don't suppose your email client is set to check for messages every 30 mins is it?

Before I play I always restart my computer, i cross off MSN and everything =/.

I still get the problem though, but it seems to stop after about a minute or so. Sometimes the problem kicks in after 30 minutes sometimes after 5 minutes =/. It's pretty much random timing. T.T

It could also be a virus scanner.

I know that when I had a lower end computer, while i was playing games the virus scanner would always kick in just to make sure it was uptodate, slowing my computer down, and then picking up speed again once it was finished.
