Default Need processor advice.

I am thinking of buying a new pc for converting .avi files to dvd. The PC that I'm thinking of buying comes with a "Pentium 4 3.0ghz LGA775" processor. But i have the option to pay more for a slightly better processor and I just want some advice on wether or not it would be worth paying the extra. I want to be able to convert avi to dvd as fast as possible. The upgrade options are...

"Pentium 4 3.2ghz 640 LGA775 800mhz 2mb HT - Add 47.00
Pentium 4 3.4ghz 650 LGA775 800mhz 2mb HT - Add 108.00"

What is the difference between these processors? And would the difference in converting speed be worth me paying the extra money?

Thanks

Hi illastic, terribly sorry noone has gotten back to you in regards to your question.

Basically, for the extra money it would cost - you wouldn't be getting anything extra out of the converstion speed. What you want to look at - is RAM.
