Is Windows still reporting that it's 1.79ghz after CPU-Z is loaded and opened?

I'm having a guess saying that CPU-Z might be causing the cpu clock speed to decrease while it's open.

some CPU will decrease it's power if it not needed like my laptop has a 3.2GHZ CPU but if i don't need all that power it will go down to 1.5GHZ try operning more programs that will take up prosecore power

hey adrian

i tried your idea when i open several programs the cpu speed goes up for a couple of seconds and it goes back to the speed that it was maybe it's like you said the cpu decreases it's power if it doesn't need it
