Hi Gmann77,

Welcome to The PCHF,
What you are describing might be a temperature issue. Do you have a seperate graphics card or is it onboard ( part of the motherboard)?
If it is onboard you might want to try and download the app HERE and let us know what the temperatures that are shown.
If the Graphics card is PCI/AGP/PCIE (seperate) you might need to check, if it has a cooling fan, that the fan is working properly and free of dust. If it doesn't have a fan turn the pc off, and check if the heatsink is very hot or not.
Let us know how you get on and we'll take it from there.

Have you checked your case fans lately?....blown out the dust bunnies? in order for a running fan to cool-- you need unobstructed airflow. In the case of that first fan-- variations that large are often a bad/incompatible sensor-chip on the mobo -- if it is that hot-- your CPU cooler may be dead/dying ...which is not good for any chip (especially AMD). Generally examine your PC with a flashlight... while it is running --with the side-cover off. CAREFULLY. Make sure ALL your case fans/CPUfan/video-card coolers are all running -- and free of debris.

Post back-- let us know.

WOW, that temp is truly amazing. Idon't think that I've ever seen a temperature that high with the cpu still working.
You really need to check that the fans are working and clear of dust. If the fan isn't working, you need to replace it before you use the pc again.
All the best and keep us updated.
