Hmm curious, try touching the heatsink when the pc has been running for a bit (Please be careful when doing this that you don't touch any other components on the board as you might get shocked)
If the heatsink is not very warm, check any other heatsinks in the pc.

Unfortunately, if these are cool and all the fans running, there might be a problem with your temperature sensors on the motherboard which causes it to shutdown when it thinks the temperature is so high. I'm afraid that the only thing to do there is replace the board.

Are you sure that a virus cant be affecting my computer?

wen i try 2 turn on my computer now, it does not turn on, the orange harddisk light stays on and the fan is running that is all my computer will do, it wont even start up now

how much do sum cheap ok and good boards go for these days ?

Can there be a problem with my hard drive or sumthing else ?

no this is a cpu temp problem and your cpu won't last much longer at them temps if it's probley alredy gone as at them temps it dose do long lasting damage.

how new is this computer

Hey,
I have the exact problem as you just described... but i seem to have fixed it. Hoever i'm not sure how i fixed it. At first i though my rams were loosly attached so i tooke them out and fitted them back in .... Don't know if that fixed the problem but it ran fine after

Not metioning that my comp has and still does have a temp. problem (cpu at 50C0)

if the cpu is a AMD 50c i think is about right

Nope an AMD can handle 50C normally.
