Hi,

This cpu can stand up against an AMD Athlon XP 3000+ I think, since this cpu is 3Ghz, and has hypertrading, AND its a prescott, wich is pretty cool!!! Another pro on this system is that its including a TFT monitor. One of the major buts on this one is that it has an AGP video slot, and no PCI-E (at least thats what I concluded from the site) so you will not be able to use a faster PCI-E card if you want to expand later.

Greetz,

RubenTC

Yes, a PCI slot is different from a PCI-E (PCI-Express) slot. PCI is slow, and for all sorts of cards (sound, lan, old videocards) and PCI-E is for the newest videocards. So Id recommend having a PCI-E slot, instead of an AGP slot.
