Default Time for new computer!!!

Hey guys and girls, i really need your help here, i know a bit about computers but not loads so i need your opinions. I want to get a new computer, it is an imedia 1517 amd athlon 64 3400, it has 1024 MB RAM and a 200 GB hard drive, 128mb Graphics card, but i thinkit runs at 2200MHZ, is this slow? Basically i would like to know if these specs are good and whether the computer is likely to be fast, also will it run games like call of duty 2, football manager 2006 etc... reasonably fast?

the main specs of the computer will be adequate for those games you listed, do you know what type of graphics card it is?

No, sorry i am not sure, but this is the link to it http://www.studentcomputers.co.uk/pb...media-1517.htm

But i also saw this computer and wondered if it would run faster than the other and play games and music and run the internet faster.

all i could get from that site about the graphics is that it is a Radeon which isn't very helpful, I myself have a pretty bog standard radeon and can play call of duty 2 on it quite comfortably so i dont think you should have any problems with it, as far as the curry's link goes all i got up was the main page with all the washing machine deals on it, and i dont think that a zanussi 1400 will play COD2 at high res, u might be lucky to get half life running on it though

For all the specs u listed above, maybe you should get a Intel Duo Processor

Matt

An Intel instead of an AMD 64 for gaming? And an Intel dual core alone would cost almost as much as the entire pc he choose...
