Hi folks i'm new here, i could do with some help in upgrading my cpu.At the moment i have a 1.6ghz p4 cpu,socket478 i would like to go up to a 2.6ghz if possible ,but im not sure if my motherboard can support a higher spec cpu,my motherboard is an intel dl845 ,any info would be greatley appreciated,thanks...

yes your mobo will take that cpu. Just make sure you get the 533 front side bus type..

There are to nearly identique mainboards 845.
If you got the first you should indeed make sure you get a 533mHz FSB processor.
If you got the second you could also buy an 800mHz FSB processor.
