I have a wireless home network set-up (Vista). One of the PCs (call it PC1) has a printer attached which I have set-up to be shared. I can connect to it with my laptop with no issues.
I have another PC (PC2) that has 4 users (call them A,B,C, and D). A and B can attach to the printer without issue. Only A is an Administrator. B, C, and D are set-up as regular users.
When I try to set-up the printer for C or D, I get a dialog box that wants a username and password to connect to PC1. That didn't happen when I set it up for A or B. None of the username/password combinations work.
I can see the whole network from PC2 logged in as C and D. I can connect to the public folder on PC1 without issue. When I try to open the printer on PC1, I get a 0x00000005 - Access id Denied error.
I've deleted the users and set them up again. I've rebooted so many times. I just don't know what to try next. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks very much!
