I have a home network that includes a pcwith Windows 7 (64-Bit) installed and an XP pc. I have a Canon printer connected to the Windows 7 pc. I cannot get the XP pc to print...the xp pc says it needs the Win 7 pc to install the printer driver, but it won't. Is there a workaround for this?

Can you attach the Canon to the XP PC, print something & also then print to W7 pc?

that is strange that it won't install the driver, but then again its Windows 7 and doesn't have a lot of support yet. First off, let me get a little more info. Is the printer strictly a network printer or is it connected to a computer and just shared to the rest of the network?
My thought being that perhaps you can directly connect it to the Windows 7 computer and see where it takes you from there. |

Do you have the Windows XP driver available on the Win7 PC to handle the install to the XP PC? If not, get the XP driver.

Hi. I have the drivers for the printer, I have the installation CD. I just can't get Windows 7 to "give" the drivers to the XP machine.
