Default Vista-Lexmark Printer Spool Issue

I recently purchased a Dell laptop with Vista Premium and connected to a Lexmark X5150 all-in-one printer via USB. I have downloaded the driver.
Printing documents from the hard drive works fine.
Printing documents from a web site has a problem.
My wife likes to print recepies from the Food Network. The first document prints and all subsequent documents spool but do not print unless I power-off and power-on the laptop. As soon as windows loads, the printer takes off and prints all documents in the queue.
I opened the printer icon from Control Panel and see the documents come in and spool and stay there. The status of the first document shows as Deleting-Printed and all other documents have a blank status.
Any thoughts on what is going on here?
Appreciate your comments.
Thanks, Lou

Try this...

Open your Device Manager
Click on View ... Show hidden devices

Click on and Delete (with the Delete key) any devices that have a ? or ! in front of them.
If the Device Manager has an "Other" device category, open it and Delete any devices in the "Other" category.
Now, reboot.

The reboot will force Windows to refind the deleted devices and hopefully see them for what they are.
After rebooting, give Windows time to locate and properly install the deleted devices.

Go to the Device Manager and verify that all your devices are listed correctly.

Did as you suggested. All devices showed clean. None had a ? or !.
Also, there was no "Other" category.
Thanks.

In the IE, click on the menu arrow next to the Printer image.
Click on Print Preview.
Try to print from this window.

Follow up. I had contacted Lexmark and this is what they suggested I do:

1. Click on "Start," "Control Panel," "Hardware and Sound" and "Printers."

2. Then, right click on the "Lexmark 5100 series" printer icon and left click on "Properties."

3. On the "Advanced" tab, there is a "Print Processor" button, left click on it.

4. This is the spool format setting. Under "Print processor" it should be set to "Lexmark 5100 series print processor." Next, under "Default datatype," select "NT EMF 1.008."

5. Click on "OK" and exit back out to your desktop.

I did as requested and now the print function works as it should. I don't have to click on the menu next to the print icon on IE.

Thank you Gandalf. I really appreciate the help you gave me. I thought you should also know Lexmark's response.

Thanks for the feedback. It's always welcome.
It's always a good idea to check with the manufacturer.
