Printing - Problem printing .pdf posted in the Hardware forums; When i try and print out a .pdf file to a 11 x 17 it comes out as a line pattern on half the page. Any advice would be super....

What program are you trying to print from?

from adobe acrobat. I was told today by the xerox tech that it was an ink smear/problem on the printer. But do you know of any similar situations, because i know this will probably come up again for me.

Sounds like you've resolved your problem.

Depending on your printer type, some printers have a method of cleaning the print head. Suggest your check the printer manual.

Thanks for the help Gandalf. i also tried converting the .pdf to a word document using a freeware program that maps a virtual printer. It nipped it in the bud, so for future reference.
