Default Lexmark Imaging PC Untits

Hi, I have a lexmark c530dn printer and the pc units are showing low and have been for some time but its still printing out fine. When is it a good idea to change them? Am I doing any damage leaving them in?

Cheers

Hello Phil and welcome to PC Help Forum.

I usaly leave myne in my printer untill there empty. The warning is realy reminding you to buy more.
Just hope you are not printing a lot of documnets and the ink runs out.

Once empty I would replace straight away.

Hi thanks for the response. I usually do leave the toners in until they are visually running out but how do you tell when the pc unit/imaging drum is low. I have got the messages showing low units but dont see any changes with the prints visually.

Thanks

I am not sure but it should show the printer ink levels.
Maybe your printer heads need a clean is there an option for this?

no its a laserprinter as oppose to an inkjet. From my understanding the PC units are the printers imaging drum unit! I could be wrong...

great! Do you know what affect it would have on your printout when the photoconductos run out? Would it just fade like a toner would do?

Thanks
