Default Printed Text Misaligned

I'm sure this is probably normal, but what I'm trying to do is print up a guitar chord chart with a line of chords above each line of lyrics. The trouble is that while in a text editor the chords and words line up perfectly, when they are printed out, the chords are shifted so as to be unusable.

Is there a specific font or word processor that would fix this? The only thing I can think of is to take screenshots and print them instead.

Hi there,

Simple one this but sometimes overlooked. Can you look at the properties for the printer and make sure you have exactly the right driver installed.

Do you have a print head alignment utility in your printer advanced/maintenance properties?

I would agree with Hengis on this one, it sounds like your print heads need re alignment.

It's a Lexmark Z715, if that helps any. The included software doesn't seem to include anything for alligning the print heads. I could double check the drivers CD.

The driver IS good, by the way.

EDIT: Wait, found one. They sure did a good job of hiding it. Alligning now.

Alright, aligned the heads, got a nice sheet with dotted lines on it, boring, the end. Printed out my chord chart again. No change.

Right now it's in *.rtf format. When I load it up in different word processors, the chords and the lyrics are always misaligned in a different way. Right now it lines up in Wordpad, since that's where it was written. In the 'print preview' everything still lines up.
