Resolved: Spacebar Not Functioning

Hello guys. I have a little problem. I have Microsoft Windows Vista 32-bit Ultimate, and my spacebar on two of the keyboards is not functioning. I have two types of keyboards, a wireless (every day use) and a regular wired DELL keyboard. I use that keyboard only when I need to enter in to “Safe Mode”. Since this is a wireless keyboard, it uses an USB receiver dongle, and it doesn’t start working right away. And you probably know, to enter “Safe Mode” you need to start tapping F8 at the LOGO on the boot up. Wireless keyboard doesn’t kick in until right after that logo, so I have a back up, wired keyboard. Anyway, neither of the keyboard's “space bars” function. What do I do to fix this? Thank You People For Help.

Hello ilya..

Is the system you are working on with this problem the same as the one in your specs?

Dell is a proprietary system.. meaning they require certain things installed.

If neither works, something in the system is null.

If it isn't Dell.. we move on.

If keys on a keyboard stop working, throw the keyboard out as they are not worth repairing.

The cost of the repair will be more than a new one...

I reinstalled my Windows, and I think it is fine now (as you can see). Could had something get corrupted in my Windows? Or some software cause this issue?? Never had this before.

Repair install had fixed the issue.
