Question Replacement keyboard not keying properly

Hi,

Just replaced a laptop keyboard (Vista OS)that had had juice spilt on it which caused the keys to stick.

New keyboard keys from left to right are working fine but from the centre onwards i get numbers instead of letters ie qwerty is fine, then u=4 i=5 o=6 p=- asdfgh are fine, j=1 k=2 l=3.

Strange thing is that on boot i can type the password which uses some of the keys on the left.

Can anyone help me please?

Hi

Try updating the System BIOS. Most BIOS updates include the K/B controller.

See if the Fn key is depressed

Have you tried this k/b on any other machine to see if you get the same errors?
