There are not all the "avi" files are played-out when I watch the movie files at TV from PC using wireless link through Playstation 3. It is looking like there are not all codecs necessary for that. Who knows how to make not viewable files working?
The cheap DVD Panasonic player plays everything. Is it possible to watch all avi files not making dirty DVD disks?

I understand that laziest way to solve the problem is to overcode video file in acceptable format and that’s it. Other hand it’s frustrating to buy stuff for $2700 loosing features gotten for $50 backs. I think it should be solved somehow I just don’t know how and where to read about it. Thank you for any ideas in advance.

This can be a common problem as the PS3 doesn't support all codecs.

One possible work around would be to install TVersity. It converts and streams the movie as you watch it to a compatible format. From TVersity's website.
