Hi all, I have a weird problem with my PC-Line 1GB flash drive that I've been using for god knows how long, I'll try and explain best I can.

Basically it has a password protector on it, which I have always used. When you plug in the USB stick it pops up in a standard window with a icon saying "Lock" on, which you open an type in the password which then lets you through to all the data.

Now, to cut a long story short, that "Lock" icon has been deleted, and there is no way to get behind the 'door' anymore. I have try autoplay and tried formatting it and stuff, but it's saying there is no space used but only 2.56mb free which is what I'm geussing was previously taken up by the password thing.

I've tried formatting it, uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling, tried it on a different computer, I have absolutely no idea!

I tried uploading a picture of what it says for free space in properties.

Please someone show me up and make me look stupid!!!!

OK thanks - Sorry what is disk management? I right clicked and pressed format on the drive itself?

Do the following on this link:How to use Disk Management to configure basic disks in Windows XP

Hopefully this should resolve the format issue.

Once in disk management you can click on the drive and choose format.

I've got it in disk management, formatted it and it's still only telling me 3mb! I'll keep playing

How many gigs is the actual drive?

Only a 1GB but I'm tempted to just order a different one online and be done with it for what it's worth.
