Default Keyboard not functioning properly

Hey guys, I was wondering if I can get some help with this issue.

Recently I installed a new copy of WinXP Pro onto my machine and everything was working correctly except for the Multimedia Buttons on my keyboard. Before, my keyboard ( Dell SK-8135 USB) worked perfectly. I tried everything from updating drivers to downloading repair kits. Finally after a restart, I noticed that the multimedia buttons worked but all my other buttons on the keyboard didn't!

I've tried uninstalling the driver, letting the computer pick up the keyboard but still no luck. Device Manager says everything is working correctly.
The keyboard functions in the BIOS but not in the OS (except for the music keys of course).
Does anyone have suggestions on what it would take for normal keys to work? Maybe something to be changed in the registry? Any help is appreciated!

Default Re: Keyboard not functioning properly

I would suggest you try a driver a roll back from Device Manager or otherwise uninstall the drivers you installed and let Windows install the standard keyboard ones.

To roll back or uninstall the driver go to Device Manager > Expand Keyboards > Right click > select Properties.

Either select Roll Back Driver or Uninstall.

Otherwise select Update Driver > select no, not this time to Windows Update search > Click Next
Select Install from a list or specific location > Click Next
Select Don't search. I will choose the driver to install > Click Next
Select Standard 101/102 Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Driver > Click Next
Reboot when prompted.
