Peripherals - webcam posted in the Hardware forums; i uninstalled, reinstalled my webcam an A4Tech because it is not functioning, however, after re-installing and on opening, it says,"No Video Capture hardware", what does it mean? thanks....

that means no webcam can be found. what program are you using for your webcam.

Installation CD ViewCam of A4Tech, webcam model PK-636MA. Tried connection to their support center. i downloaded their driver; there was instruction to remove mouse driver(?) after installation before launching the downloaded driver. I did not remove because I couldn't understand why the mouse driver(??) while I am installing webcam. Error message is still the same "no video capture hardware. help pls. tnx.

Hello,is your mouse and your web cab both USB connections?

If they are then I would remove the mouse driver from the USB port you have webcam plugged into then reinstall webcam driver.

i've removed the mouse driver and re-install, but still "no video capture hardware" message. what's the next thing i should do? thank you.
