Hi All,
Has anyone come across a mouse pointer that does what it wants?. My Work PC has a pointer that moves around the screen without the mouse being moved, sometimes it's just a slow crawl and at other times it outruns Lewis Hamilton. It's causing on end of problems, usually by making it near on impossible to select icons/files etc.
How do I make it behave and work like it should?
The PC is running XP SP2 and is a legit copy (they bought it from Tesco)

I've seen this with a laptop many times, where the touchpad is causing the pointer to wander...but this is a PC, you say?

Yes and one of Tesco's finest PC's so I was told. I've tried several different Mice but each one does the same.

MMMM,very strange I just delt with similar issue on MSN.USB mouse.Still aint fixed though.


Ok what type of mouse is it?

Did you get a drivers disc? Tried re-installing the chipset drivers? Did you try a different USB port?
If it's happening with a number of different mice then it's fair to say...it's not the mice lol

just a standard ball mouse on a wire with a ps2 connection
