I bought a UTStarcom UM150 USB modem with Alltel it lets me get on the internet wherever there is a Alltel tower.


Well I'll being using it and at random times it will just lock up, and freeze the whole computer then I have to force it to shutdown and reboot. I dont know if something is causing it to conflict, or what but it will just freeze at random times.

This program might help. Suggest you download and install this program (it's free) CCleaner ... Alternative Download.
1. After installing...run the program...click on Analyzer...then click on Run Cleaner.
2. On the left side of the window, click on Registry...click on Scan for issues...click on Fix selected issues.

Question: Are you using any particular program when your computer freezes?

So this fault only happens with the modem attached? right click my computer click manage then click event viewer and see if there is anything obvious under system as a hardware error and in application to see if it is a program frezzing

Yea it only does it when its connected and at random times.
