Hi there and welcome to PC Help Forum.

Can you tell us your PC make and model number (if shop bought) OR your exact motherboard make and model number?

Ok, 2 suggestions;

1) Update the BIOS on your motherboard: GIGABYTE - Support - Motherboard - BIOS - GA-6IWFE

THEN

2) Update the Chipset drivers: GIGABYTE - Support - Motherboard - Driver - GA-6IWFE

As suggested i installed the chipset driver.now the PS/2 mouse works fine,thanks but the PS/2 keyboard still doesnt work.But interestingly when i plug in the PS/2 keyboard the mouse stops working.in the control panel,keyboard,properties ,hardware under device name the space is blank.Also in device manager the keyboard does not appear.I have plugged my keyboard and mouse in my friends computer and it works fine there.May god n u help me
