When I press shift and number 2 I get @ coming up instead of " thats marked on the keyboard. All the letters are fine just the symbals are mixed up. I went to control panle and made sure that the computer region settings are ok. I dont know why it does this. Its a new pc only a few days old??

thoughts on how to correct would be great. All the symbals are ok but just assigned to the wrong keys????

The same or simular thing happened to me a while back - I had to change the keyboard setting to UK though as they were set to USA - I remember I first set the language to UK but that wasnt enough - needed the keyboard settings too.

To achieve this - make sure all of the settings in Start > control panel > regional & language settings are set to your preferred location.
