By now everybody has gotten a few of these...the promotional thumb drives of minimal capacity that contain video or animation of some kind, selling whatever product. Last week I got one so small and thin, I didn't believe it could function...but it was a 128MB USB drive that contained Cadillac promo info, and was recognized as normal. It accepted a regular XP format process and is now in my wallet, holding various utility software I use often.
But I've got a couple of such freebies that, when installed, show up as a CD drive, and no format option appears. Is there any way to beat this, or is this a 'hard' setup within the chip itself?
Thanks in advance!
