Default Attaching keyboard to notebook

I want to know if there is a way to attach my IBM keyboard to my IBM thinkpad, my keyboard has the purple connection. Since my desktop is down till I can get a recovery CD i have to use my notebook nad I hate the keypad, so any ideas would be awesome.

I have a video out connector on the side of my notebook i think thats teh port i would use right, but its too small for my keyboard, i also could get a USB adapter thingy but i have no more usb ports as I have my internet adapter and mouse in it.

Thanks in advance.

Which thinkpad model do you have mate? I have a T23 and the PS2 port is on the left side beside the USB ports, the SVID out is on the right side as you say.

Make sure your pushing the PS2 connector in the right way, might sound stupid but I've tried pushing it in the wrong way many times as I'm sure we all have.
