Default Mouse Freezes in Normal Boot

I find that my cursor freezes in a normal boot. I can do a system restore, and the mouse will work for about a day, but then it randomly freezes, and stays there. I had to resort to using mouse key. I have determined it isnt the mouse i am using, because i have tried other mice (one being usb). I would think that it is a virus causing this because of how it works when i do a system restore. I run AVG, but it finds nothing. Any ideas/ suggestions?

The best place to start with this is to visit the Asus support section and download/install the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard. Test and let us know how you go.

My mouse is working now, but i now have a new problem.

I did a bios update on my motherboard along with an update on my mouse.

Now i cannot play games. I get this error message:
"frequency out of range try another resolution"

I have tried to lower the refresh rate, my resolution, and the color with no success.
I dont know how to "undo" the bios update on the motherboard, or how to fix this another way.
