Peripherals - keyboard silently went dead posted in the Hardware forums; I have been using my keyboard through out this week and today after two hours it silently went dead while i was still typing. Restarting the machine will not help ...

Default keyboard silently went dead

I have been using my keyboard through out this week and today after two hours it silently went dead while i was still typing. Restarting the machine will not help as it doesn't show lights of any of num lock, caps lock or scroll lock Please help.

have you tried another keyboard? what type is this, usb or ps/2? If the former, try a different port. If the latter, try a known good one.

If wireless, check the batteries.
