Default Flash Drive problem

Hello, i have a problem with a USB memory Device, What happened is that i plugged in my 128mb usb device in windows XP and i transfered a file to Vista now the problem i have now is that i when i open the files none of them seem to be there so i right click porperties and it shows that more than 50mb is in use... have these files been currupted? or deleated...

Open the USB key in Windows explorer and then (in Vista) select organize > folder and search options > view tab > make sure "show hidden files and folders" is enabled.

yeah i have that enabled but the usb stick says that there is 50mb in use but the files just dont show up if i explore it. ie when i open the usb stick to explore it appears empty and if i right click and properties it says that the disk usage is 50mb.

bit confusing..
