Default USB keyboard thru hub

yeah i have a problem. I only have 2 USB ports on my computer. I want to buy a USB keyboard, but i have to route it through a non-powered hub so i can use my USB internet connector on the other one. however, my concern is that if i route it through the hub, it wont work on boot, it will boot w/o a keyboard, but if i want to get into the bios or somehting i dont know if ill be able to. please help with this. will it recognize the USB kb on boot?

um, that is not very clear. I have an BIOS Version VIA694 - 42302e31
Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG

It says it supports Legacy USB, but as for a USB hub on boot i dunno

Hi AW,

Sorry for the lack of response...as soon as the computer is turned on - the USB hub is powered on...this is even before the BIOS - it *should* work.
