I got confused somewhere along the line, which aint hard for me, but, are you still working on the slot1 machine you got off ebay, or did you change horses in the middle of the stream there?LOL If youre still working on the slot1 machine, try taking the processor and heatsink out(leave the processor mounted to it and take the heatsink out of the slot on the motherboard) , use a pencil eraser and gently clean the contacts on the card and wipe them with a clean cloth. Then push it in and out of the slot several times to help wipe the contacts in the slot clean. These contacts will become oxidized over time and loose good electrical connection, much like video cards/pci cards of all types. All it takes is one dirty one to cause problems. Most of the slot1 machines ive worked on that had similar symptoms, had this problem.

No I was asking for the new ones...not the slots. Of course a slot 1 might not be that bad seeing as I wasted $25 because my mobo is having troubles updating the Bios...stupid command.exe.
