Default [Answered] Power supply questions

This ought to be fairly simple. When building a new system, how do I determine which power supply will be adequate? This will be a mild gaming platform, all on a tight budget. There are sooooo many choices as far as power supplys go. What's the formula?

Thanks,
Sean

Hey manders...

check out the link in my signiture to PSU Calculator

Enter what system you want and it will tell you the required wattage...then add about 30% onto that (for power spikes and capacitor aging) and you'll have what size powersupply you need.
